Lvl 24 Writer LFH

Have not yet stooped to checking that third box ...

So here's the backstory. Last fall, while discussing plans for the future and bemoaning our financial fears,  several friends and I hit on a brilliant idea, so brilliant we knew we were surely the first to ever come up with it.

"Why don't we all rent a house together?" the idea went. "It's perfect! Cheap rent, good friends, no more wasting gas driving to see each other every night." Over cheap Mexican food, we made great, ambitious plans, talking about where we wanted to live and how we'd decorate the place. Somehow, as the conversation progressed, the idea of the Geek Lair emerged in our minds.

Now, it's late March, and while the house-hunt has begun considerably later than initially discussed, the plan is still in place. By late May-early June, I will (theoretically) be moving into a house with my boyfriend, Randy, and our engaged friends Vian and Tracy, three of my favorite geeky people.

There are going to be challenges, of course, particularly for me. It'll be the first time in five years I've had a roommate, let alone roommate(s) plural. Still, all in all, this might be our best idea ever. Maybe.
